Foreign & Commonwealth Office

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office legalise/attest documents for use in overseas countries. The attestation confirms the signature of the Notary Public or Government Body and not the content of the document.

Countries who are party to the Hague Convention need an Apostille only. Other countries may need to go to the appropriate Embassy for further legalisation.

As a registered Company at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London we are able to use their Premium Service to obtain same-day attestation. This does not apply to their office in Milton Keynes, which can take 2-3 working days. Please contact us for further information on this service.

Documents for either service need to be with us no later than 8am to ensure lodging on the day of receipt. Other arrangements can be made depending on the circumstances.
